We are getting close to the final countdown for the opening of ART-ATHINA 2010, the 16th International Contemporary Art Fair of Athens, on May 13th at the Faliro Pavilion (TaeKwonDo).

58 galleries from 11 countries (Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Turkey, USA) are getting ready to surprise and fascinate visitors with works of art by more than 300 artists.

The Parallel Programme boasts –among others– an exhibition of artists’ books for the first time in Greece, showcasing works of art that redefine the concept of bookmaking. Apart from the parallel exhibitions, events, talks and performances, 42 institutions related to contemporary art (museums, foundations, art publishers and media) will also be hosted at the fair. ART-ATHINA offers the opportunity to visitors to get updated and combine pleasure with reflection and constructive dialogue on the contemporary art scene.
